Pilates Mat Work will strengthen and tone all muscles of the body, improve your posture, and increase flexibility and balance.  Pilates Mat Work is a series of exercises designed to strengthen what Joseph Pilates called the "powerhouse", the deepest muscles in the abdomen, inner thighs, buttocks, and lower back.  By toning these muscles, not only will you gain a more streamlined shape, but you will also gain and be able to maintain correct posture in your daily activities.  As a result of the class you will also feel increased energy, circulation, balance, and flexibility.  Please bring a sticky mat and a towel.

Conditioning
This class combines strengthening and stretching exercises using isometric techniques. Some may compare these movements to that of the popular pilates techniques.
